A step too far?

William: large-and-in-charge (when awake)

Small, fluffy and ferocious: Frizzle, another Wild One from the cat sanctuary

Photos were aiming to be ‘moody and atmospheric’.

Suspect I may have taken a step too far, into ‘grainy and unrecognisable’ territory.

I do have another post in mind, just haven’t had time to write it yet.

Purrs and dribbles to all. 🙂

    1. Thank you. I’ve always thought I was rubbish at photography, but then I grew up with old-fashioned cameras, and compared myself to my Mum, who was really good.

It’s a lot easier now you can delete any attempts you don’t like, and edit them on screen. 🙂

  1. I agree that immediate feedback of being able to see the picture right away really helps and I love the turnaround time. Having to wait a few days to see your pics meant if you messed up (didn’t see that branch sticking out of your friend’s head), then it might not be so easy to retake the pic especially if you are travelling.

Photography has always had 2 streams of photographs: the f64 straight photographers with everything as is and obviously a photograph versus the pictorialist who liked to set up shots and make things more like a painting. One of the things I like is that it is easier to be a pictorialist type photographers without having to create sets or have a special camera (ok, polaroids are not that special as they started off as snapshooters but I love the way you can swirl around on the actual picture as it develops). I love the way photos can morph in different apps. Hope you do more of your impressionistic photos.

    1. I expect I will, now I’ve got started. I always thought of myself as a writer, or a poet. I never expected to use my creativity in any other way, almost like that would be greedy, pretentious or tempting fate. But recently I have taken up patchwork and started taking a few photos for the blog, and have found there can be the same sort of ‘buzz’ around visual things. Which is nice. 🙂
